  I do not understand what people see in Rieslings. Fearful of an overly sweet wine, I bought this hoping for something, um, not so sweet. It was too cloying and simple for me. BLEAH. (70 pts.)

IS TRUE! But TJ, don't be dissapointed with German riesling as a whole, or you'll end up stereotyping the great German riesling. This time you just got a bad example of it. That would be like saying Chinese food is bad, just because all a person has only had it at a fast food chain once.

I just opened the same one tonight and was totally dissapointed. yech! There is nothing to like about this wine. Nose has weak floral and mineral tone. Palate is just cloying, like drinking sweetened water. Not much acidity, making this wine seem flat and boring. One of the rare times I find a QmP Mosel riesling this unsatisfrying. Is it going through a dumb period? No...it's a kabinett...it shouldn't have a dumb period.
