| Holy smokes. An excellent wine indeed. Fairly dark yellow/pale gold in color. On the nose, hints of tropical fruit, honeysuckle, a little nectarine perhaps, and lychee. Incredibly rich but balanced well with the acidity. Lychee on the palate together with some minerality, tropical fruit, and maybe a tad of melon. Very long finish, just kept going with a viscous texture, which I really enjoy. I believe WS gave this 96 points, and I would probably call it a 94, but at whatever score, it was excellent.
Many thanks to Emilio and the lovely Mrs. E for giving this one to us. They brought it to dinner at our house a couple weeks ago, but lucky for us in hindsight, due to the number of wines we had that night and the food it did not make the lineup.
