Tasted at offline dinner at our house Sunday night with Emilio, Mrs. Emilio and of course MLV. No formal notes taken but this was my impression.

Some peach showing, touch of petrol. Nice texture. I thought it a little short on the finish. Emilio thought it could use more time in the bottle. Very nice though and a good start to the evening.

If this wine was showing anything resembling short then you can chalk that up to being totally closed down. I would not touch a bottle of this wine until 2009 or so.

That was Emilio's opinion, which given his greater knowledge and experience with rieslings, I accepted.
