From vintner Erwin Sabathi: "The ripest grapes from our two best vineyards, Pössnitzberg and Jägerberg, are selected for the Merveilleux wines. Marine sediments of shells give this wine its characteristic mineral notes. 60% of this wine was fermented and aged in new small barriques. This Sauvignon Blanc shows aromas of mango and cassis with subtle wood notes over a beautiful Styrian fruit note. On the palate it is very concentrated and showing great depth. A very salty, massive Sauvignon with fantastic length. A wine with great cellar potential."

from Food & Wine 2005 Guide: Wine well named, this offers simply marvelous flavors of lemon confit, green peppercorn, and passion fruit.

From Falstaff Guide : Medium yellow-green; dark herbaceously spicy and ripe gooseberry aromas with a touch of vanilla and tropical fruit; elegant and mellow mouthfeel with suporting traces of oak; very concise and straigt-forward; lingering on the finish.

I was asked on one of my other tasting notes to include the price of the bottle, so I am now doing this for all of my TN's.

This bottle retails for: $49.99
