Absolutely stemor, Saudis & OPEC themselves said take out the speculation, traders (not regulated, not watched, regulations, behind closed doors, etc...) & the price is $50-$70/per. A trader bought it @ $100 when it was trading @ $91. It is ridiculous that a # of traders are profiting, making millions while the rest of the world suffers.

The cheapest place I can find now for 93 has it for $4.15. Fortunately, I still have a quarter tank that I hope to make stretch in to Monday or Tuesday.

Check that, an unfortunate correction, $10 in 1 day. I work right here on Wall St now. And, there are many saying if nothing is done & soon, forget about driving habits, SUVs, etc... forget about the economy, stock market crash, whatever... people here on Wall St are talking about the world crashing, the financial markets crashing & the world economies coming to a crash. The cost of doing business will bring the world markets to its knees & consumers all over the world to a complete halt. Right now, I am a consultant @ a hedge fund, venture cap firm on Wall St. The traders here are not a very happy bunch. Pessimistic as all hell. They are not the most cheery of people in the first place. But, these days...

$4.39 last night for 89 in Redmond. FWIW - I've noticed that I get increased mileage with higher octanes in my truck (93 Toyota). At a certain pricepoint (relative to the staggered increase for octane differences), it makes more sense to buy 89 or 92.

I had to go inside the station today to re-submit my credit card after the pump stopped at $100.00.
The pump would not let me re-enter my card immediately.

Another 46 dollars and it wasn't completely empty.

Ouch! My SUV only takes premium. Time to turn it in and I just bought this '08 in Dec.
Hybrid ethenol-here I come.

$4.19 yesterday for 93. A new high for me, it took $70.01 to tank up. And later that day I saw it for $4.18.

$4.41 for 87 at Costco in San Leandro. What was surprising, was that I had to wait about 10 minutes as there were so many cars in line.
