Back to reading again "Game of Thrones" by George RR Martin.

If there was a ever a series with no mercy... nothing is sacred... More " i can't believe the author did that' comments than any other series that I have ever read.

love the different perspectives though....

French Lessons: Adventures with Knife, Fork, and Corkscrew by Peter Mayle.

Judging by how worn the cover of the paperback is, I've picked this up many times, and put it back down because I couldn't get into it. Now, I'm smiling so much while reading the first story "The Inner Frenchman".

The Long Tail - Chris Anderson. I've been ripping the library's audiobook collection while doing homework and then listening to them on my Zune. The Long Tail is a great book (so far) if you're interested in how the internet/boradband distribution is changing buying behavior and consumption.

Just got done reading Richard's Scarry's "What Do People Do All day?" to my daughter

Lost Triumph - a book which attempts to explain Pickett's Charge at Gettysburg as something more than a colossal blunder by Robert E. Lee.

A friend just sent me Dan Simmons' "Ilium" and "Olympos," which he labeled "must read." Still have to finish last chapters of "Game of Thrones" first.

juggernt,
I seem to recall that you are a SF fan. If so, if you haven't read Simmons' Hyperion (which won a Hugo) - move it to the top of your list!

I finished Brother Odd yesterday. I agree with CWG - mediocre.

I find that I now turn to Koontz when I want a quick, easy, read. The Husband was better.

Nope, published in 1995. This is the first book I've read of his, I'll be reading more.
