Another $0.11c today alone to $3.49.

Absolutely, mman, I've cut down to trips to NYC even a few months ago. Not to mention that it now costs $8.00 to cross into NYC.

No changes for us, and I have a feeling a lot of others here will say the same. I'm guessing most wine board members who have expendable cash to buy wine will have expendable cash to travel. I have however started to take notice of prices.

Out of curiousity, will the price of gas this Summer influence anyone's travel plans here? Closer to home vacations, etc? Keep your usual or original plans and just suck it up?

It wasn't the price of gas that changed our travel plans this year - it was the Euro vs. US Dollar. I really, really wanted to go to Champagne but the prices were just out there. But like Chilly I have started to notice the $$ when filling the tank.

Regardless of the taxes, gas costs more in northern California than in most states despite having local refineries. There have been a few attempts at explanation by the oil companies, but the basic reason is that they charge more because they can.

I don't know.  I'm not sure if San Francisco levies its own gas tax (although they tax everything else so I guess they must be doing so).  For some reason the City is always extremely high priced.  Highest in the nation right now iirc.  I don't drive very much thankfully.

$3.63 at Sam's Club for premium.

Won't affect my travel plans, since I don't have any :-p (actually, we do--cruising the Inside Passage in Aug/Sep, bt since it's already paid for, no changes).
