how about the price of oil is just something that we can't control. if we want to drive our cars we are going to have to just pay whatever the price is.

Paid $1.73 for regular (I lease my car so the hell with premium) this morning but could've bought gas for lower if I hadn't stopped out of convenience.

not doing yourself any favors if your car calls for premium. you will get reduced gas mileage and if it damages the engine you will be on the hook not the manufacturer. believe me, if you have piston damage due to lower octane they will be able to prove it. i am not sure what car you are driving but major engine repair is expensive no matter the make or model. just my $.02

Gadd-m, still not a penny lower. I wonder how is it that in some areas (around the country) prices went down & here in Jersey it did not. Bastards.

It looks like WIML and I need to move to Lewisville. You are paying 7 cents less than I am. Racetrack today was $1.729 regular, $1.819 plus, $1.929 premium.

It's barely below $2 in metro Houston where we usually have low gas prices. Odd.

$1.719 in town for regular last week. Most places in the mountains this weekend were around $1.90. However, Aspen being Aspen, prices were $2.499/$2.599/$2.699 for the three available grades.

MM, what is it running around Mammoth?

gas seems to be creeping back up. one bright spot is the biggest supermarket in the pgh region has entered the petro game in a big way. they have tied your supermarket purchases to fuel discounts. so for every $50 you spend in one of their stores you earn $.10 of every gallon of gas during a fill up. the nice thing about this is their stores are mega stores and you can do everything from banking, drycleaning, movie rental, florist, pharmacy, to other things i cannot think of. it is easy to drop about $500 a month in a store. makes for filling up real cheap. the other day i was able to get $.30 of each gallon of premium which brought it down to $1.65
