I'm trying to get rid of some collectibles (comic books and trading cards mainly).  I haven't used eBay before and really don't have the time to hassle with it.  Supposedly there are third party services that will do this for you for a cut of the proceeds.  Does anyone have any experience using these services?

I haven't used them to sell, but I've bought (via eBay) through them:

Usually the conditions as a buyer have been AS IS/ No warranty or returns

Thought they were OK.

I've been wanting to do the same for years but like you, Dan, no time/will to attend to it. Actually, I tried a couple of times to sell directly on eBay with no luck. Dan, I will contact you if you don't mind in the future to see how you made out.

I also tried to buy on eBay, only to get out bid with mins to go in the auction. I gave up on the whole eBay idea. I know they make a ton of money. And, there are some casual buyers/sellers. And, some that make a living on eBay. I've had no success buying nor selling directly on eBay. I gave up on it completely. A 3rd party idea, I never considered, but may be worth a look.

I have some experience selling trading cards (Magic the Gathering, to be specific), and I haven't had too many problems. A third party is going to do the work for you, but they're going to take a good deal of your profit. If it's the difference between getting some money for your stuff and no money, then go for it.
