Has anyone ever heard of the following dessert wines?

1. 1996 Massandra KAGOR (Crimea South Coast - Ukraine)

2. NV Four Seasons Collection "Isabella" Dionysos Mereni (17%alc) Product of Moldova

Something tells me that these could be decent dessert wines at a very low price. Any info (bad or good) is appreciated.

That would be a 1st then... I am originally from Moldova & on the border of Ukraine (as a matter of fact). I had many, many wines from those regions. Well, tried to drink many, many wines from those regions. Have not found 1 yet that I can force into my mouth & down my throat w/o spitting it out. Well, it's not that bad. But, the wines from those regions are nothing to write home about (or on Wine-based web sites).

I posted a few times in the past. The region is great for growing grapes & such. The $$$, people, technology, knowledge, experience, investment, resources, etc… is NOT.

I hope that changes 1 day, though...

Ever hear of Rkatsiteli? Willi Frank told me it is the most commonly grown grape and particularly plentiful in Eastern Europe. He gave me a bottle of it. Maybe next offline, huh?
