| Jones, I bought this as per your reco while in LA last week. When should this wine be consumed? Guy in the store said drink now, very fruit forward.

| | I agree. This wine is showing very well at present. I originally rated it as a 93. Since then it has performed in the 91-92 range so I may have been a little optimistic. I have what is left of a six pack in my home cellar with another six 750s in offsite storage along with 2 mags and a double mag. Once I run out of the "local" 750s I won't hesitate to pull more 750s out. The large formats will get at least a decade however. I have had the wine on 7 or 8 occasions and it has performed well each time. It is a popular wine. Every person I have poured it for has enjoyed it. At $33 it is a well priced wine. Sadly, they only produced 750 cases. | | | |

| | I had my first Madrigal wine Friday night at the tasting with tt. It was the '99 Merlot and worth buying. I think I gave it a 90 and the price wasn't too bad. | | | |
