| If you can tell me about any of these, please do so when you get the chance. I have been offered these at good prices. They all have good scores in WS and from Parker, but I want the fine VC reviews that this forum is known for. Thanks so much!

Thanks so much. I'll keep on looking for info on the forums. I don't really need full reviews. If you happen to have had any of these just say that they were great or not and let me know how you would have rated them. Thanks again!

| Reds 1. 1991 Beringer Private Reserve-This was a very good bottle when I last had it, about 3 years ago. I would be careful about storage, and I wouldn't overpay. It was good but not great. '92, '93 and '94 were far better.
2. 1999 Peter Michael Les Pavots-A very nice wine that needs lots of time. However, the quality of the '01 and '02 have tempered my enthusiasm for the '99. The '99 is more tight and austere compared to upfront fruit which you will find in the '01 and '02. Again, don't overpay if the price is in the range of what you can find these latter vintages for.
5. 2001 and 2002 Justin Isosceles-I didn't care for the '01. I've had the '02 twice. Like it. Don't love it. But a good friend loves this wine so I always keep some on hand for her. If it's under $35, I'd consider it. At $40+, I'd pass.
6. 1997 Spring Mountain Reserve-I really like this wine. In fact when I had it I was stunned at how good it was given the relative disinterest I have shown toward their other wines. With good storage, I would buy this again.
10. 2003 Pride Mountain Reserve-Cannot go wrong here if you are indeed getting a very good price. Very drinkable. Very flippable.
p.s. don't know if these are New Orleans wines or not, but be careful of hurricane fire sales. If the price is too good to be true, well, you know the rest. | | Beta testing a new signature.

If you find the 96 Cristal for under $180 pb, buy it. It's great champagne.

| | Tanzer had a nice writeup on Katrina wines. Suffice it to say, they will be tainting the secondary market for years to come. | | | |

P-J: Good, not great. Medium bodied vintage Champagne with fine bubbles and good acidity. Worth 91-92 pts. I'd pay no more tha $65.
1999 PM Les Pavots: Great wine in need of mroe time. Dark cassis and balck raspberry. A little bramble. 93-94
1997 Spring Mountain Reserve: Very CA styled but with good elegance. 91-93
1997 Caymus SS: Awesome wine with tons of complexity and good lightness on the palate given the power oif the wine. 94-95
2001 Elderton Command Shiraz: Great Barossa Shiraz... if you like that sort of thing. Lots of oak. 92ish
2002 Martinelli Rserve Pinot. Drinking very well. Black raspberry, black cherry. Awesome fruit. 93ish
2003 Do you mean the Cab Reserve? If so, no coment. The Mountaintop Merlot is great, however...

| | Agree with whiner and JimmyV on the '97 Spring Mtn Reserve -- a very, very nice wine, had it a month ago and it was terrific. | | | |
