I'm seeing this hit the shelves out here, but waiting for it to end up at my favorite retailer for a better deal. In the meantime, anyone had the pleasure (or displeasure) of trying the 03 Termes? I liked the 02 very much.

stupid question here, well probably anyway

since the regular numanthia and the termes are actually different blends can the quality of the regular bottling be ascertained from how the termes performs?

I just had the '03 Termes and Numanthia this week. I was not overly impressed with the Termes, but the Numanthia is amazing.

How can a wine that was #3 on WS's Top 100 List not be impressive the next vintage?

I'm, sure alot of people on here would agree with me and saying that it is very easy for a wine that was #3 on the wine specatator list not be impressive in the next vintage, especially considering that the wine in question is relatively new on the 'scene' and without a track record.
I'm glad to hear that this wine is good though, as I'm a fan of recent vintages I'm just not sure that you're answer was all that well thought out.

you're not serious are you?

this is the reason they put that little 4 digit number on the bottles.

I had the 2003 Termes at a dinner in SF. I thought it was very good and it really goes well with dessert. You have to have this one with something.

I enjoyed the '03 Termes... for the price at least. Heavy on the tannin, but it definitely has the fruit and structure... so lay it down for a few.. I think this will reward the patient. If you pull now, it needs some decanting... over an hour.
