| | Had the most recent Abacus, whatever the multiple vintages were, and it was just wonderful. Big and luscious and memorable. Knocked every other wine off the table, and it was a crowded table. It was a gift from the winemaker so we didn't pay the $250 or whatever it is. Wouldn't pay that for it, but I wouldn't pay that for any wine. | | | |

| LCC-- I have had that wine before, too and enjoyed it. It was a good white to serve to our not so wine-o friends and family and they really enjoy it as well.
But I agree on the whole 'fume blanc' name thing -- total gimmick | |

| I tried some at the McAuthur's barrel tasting a while back. Not that it was a bad wine it was just that the ZD people were treating it like it was the second coming which it really wasn't. I remember the Neal single vineyards being just as good that year.
