Has anyone tried this wine? Your opinions please. $20 here and it's the first time I've seen it locally....

I enoyed the 2000, I'd give the 2001 a shot and then buy a case if you like it.

I bought a couple of these for $15 at Costco tried one last week and thought it was pretty good. Nice cab flavors black cherry, blackberry and some vanilla. Nothing extraordinary about it just good ripe Napa cab. I would give this wine a high 80's score.

FYI, this just recieved 91 points in Wine Spectator Weekly. Sounds like a buy at that price.

I'm planning on picking up one at $17 and tasting over the weekend. Always worth a shot.

I opened one of these over the weekend, Initial aromas of cherries and vanilla were pleasant and first taste was nicely full of fruit although medium bodied, but then the wine seeemed to take a turn for the worse. The aromas became very muted and the flavor was almost enirely sweet candied fruit. I decided to vacu-vin and try again the next day. No improvement in fact I found the flavors somewhat sickingly sweet. I poured the remaining 1/3 bottle down the drain. I looked back at my old notes and think subsequent to the post above I actually thought the wine was better and may age? I think my initial impressions above may have been closer. Any one try one lately? I think initially this was a great QPR although now not sure about ageability.
