| The 2003 Spit Bucket Reserve was my WOTN. There was a lot going on in there. It was like drinking 11 Zins all at the same time,....but there was one taste I couldn't place Hmmmm. | | | |

| Great night. My WOTN was CLEARLY the '00 Martinelli G & L. Fantastic and a big 95 pts from jb. Disappointed in the Jackass. Good, but not even close to a WOW for me. My #2 was the Rafanelli Dry Creek, followed closely by the '99 Hartford Dina's.

| HEY! STOP THIS BS ABOUT THE SPIT BUCKET! It wasn't a spit bucket. It was a dump bucket. Wait a second. That doesn't sound right either. It was a bucket in which people poured out the wines they didn't like. Nobody spit in the damn bucket.
My wine of the night was the Martinelli Jackass Zinfandel, and not because I brought one of the bottles. My notes were written before the wines were revealed, as were those of my partner in this, Revlis.
I found a number of the wines a little disappointing, including all three dessert wines, one of which I brought. Maybe after the spit...errr...dump....err...whatever bucket, nothing could compare well. I had expected to give more of the wines scores in the 90s than I did. The evening was absolutely wonderful and the jazins took complete charge and carried everything out flawlessly. My wife and I send our most sincere thanks to them and everyone else who made this such a great evening. | | | |

| Thank you Winetex. I'm beginning to think ojeffso's mentoring has also influeneced what I like in a wine. His WOTN was Martinelli's G & L.
I have a few bottles of the G & L and recently was able to acquire some Jackass. I opened the Jackass last night and to my surprise prefer the G & L . I'm not saying I didn't love the Jackass...just love the G & L a little more.
Anyway I had a great time even though I wasn't there.
