| I'm beginning to think the same thing, Jazin. I'd be up for moving it to Feb 1.
Jan 18th is the three-day weekend (Martin Luther King, Jr.).

| Probably, a good idea, anyway. Question: If the Giants are Not in it. Does it really matter??? | | |

| Feb. 1st is good for us too ... lets see if everyone else agrees!
Board-O: would love for you to be there. May move it to Feb. 1st if the others agree.

| Very True.... Feb 1st is good for me.
So now who's having the superbowl party? Who's got the big screen?
We could have a chips and salsa tasting along with a beer tasting. *gasp* did I say "beer tasting" out loud? hehehe | | | If you drink wine, you get smarter....

| I'm having the party and I have the big screen TV, but the house will be full. If the dinner is Feb. 1, we will attend, but I don't want to see it changed on my account and have someone who was going to attend have to drop out. | | | |

No worries. I think most people agree that Feb 1 is better than the the prior two weekends. We won't be changing it solely on your account.
Glad that means that you'll be able to make it (and we can finally meet).

| Well, this a fine kettle of fish. My wife and I are looking forward to this very much. I'd hate to miss meeting Short and armar, and missing all those Zins wasn't thrilling me either. Can you please let me know the name, address, and phone number of the restaurant, and the name address and phone number of a nearby hotel or motel. There's no hurry for this info. I mentioned to jazin that, in addition to a couple of bottles of Zinfandel, I'd like to bring a 95 point (RP) Alsatian wine- the 2000 Albert Mann Grand Cru Furstentum Vieilles Vignes Gewurtztraminer. I didn't realize it at the time I bought a case, but it's supposed to be sweet, so we might have some with dessert. | | | |

| Board-O -
Assuming the dinner is at Aquila in New Providence, NJ (www.aquilarestaurant.com), your best bet for a hotel is the Murray Hill Inn (Best Western) on South Street in New Providence.
It's about a mile up the road from the restaurant and usually runs about $99/night.
I will think of other possibilities but I have a feeling this is the ONLY hotel/motel within the immediate area.

| I'm originally from Watchung and my cousin lived in New Providence. As long as I have an address or a phone number, the car will tell me how to get there. Is it definitely at Aquila on Feb 1? | | | |

| I made a hotel reservation. Dinner at 8 PM is great. Besides that I can't make it by 5, you don't want to be rushed because they need the tables. The great thing about this dinner, besides the people, is that there will probably not be a bad Zin in the bunch, assuming jb doesn't sneak in another of those '90 La Sizerranes. | | | |

| Thats why I did not have any red meat in the first 2 courses- I am going to ask for a fish alternative to the Filet... I am sure they can accomodate as they did in Dec. | | | |
