| Yes, this is coming up soon! I'll be there and am bringing another wine collecting friend. We'll both be bringing a 2003 Pride Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon - one from each of our cellars. I'm looking forward to it!

| Posted By Dave Tong on 09/26/2007 8:06 PM Okay, there's six weeks to go and an awful lot of TBDs. I need you people to commit to attend and say what you're bringing. I'm getting too many other conflicts in November so will just go ahead and bow out right now.  I'm much more than likely to be in Seattle that weekend if anyone wants to try an alternate smackdown there.... | | | In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. | I'll offer up two more bottles of Crocker & Starr if that's what it takes to get them in the show.
Otherwise, but us down for the last Pride Res. Cab, and an Insignia.

| Okay, I'll put Crocker and Starr in there. If we don't get 3 Prides or Insignias we can always reconsider. Kpak/Tanglenet - Sorry you can't make it.
We have to guarantee a minimum of 30 (at least we did last year) and we're getting close to that number, so if anyone is interested in joining us the list is open. | Looks like I'm flying solo, but I've got a 2003 Justin Isosceles Reserve sitting in San Jose waiting for me.

| Ok, my trip is wired - we're in Friday night and there for a week. As before, I can bring the 03 Isosceles Reserve, can also bring Bressler or Match, if needed. Let me know.  If you need me to find something else instead... let me know soon and I'll try to start raiding cellars in the Bay Area | | | |

| Well we already have three Bresslers and Matches. My big concern would be that we might end up with only one Isosceles Reserve; however I'm sure that we can find someone to trade it for something that we need. | | http://scmwine.blogspot.com - My wine blog. http://scmwine.wikispaces.com - your guide to the Santa Cruz Mountains and Santa Clara Valley

| Maybe we should aim for two of each wine? | | | |

| Posted By Randy Wigginton on 10/18/2007 10:39 PM Maybe we should aim for two of each wine? It's worth considering, but that's about 17 pours from each bottle - less than 1.5oz each. I was assuming 11-12 pours per bottle - around 2oz each. What's the preference - larger pours or more wines? | | http://scmwine.blogspot.com - My wine blog. http://scmwine.wikispaces.com - your guide to the Santa Cruz Mountains and Santa Clara Valley

| Dave - wouldn't "trade" the Justin, as I'm picking it up at cost from a friend (David, you've met Lisa :-D ). I'd just go out and find another bottle we need, probably from Bert over at Joseph George. On the bright side, looks like my wife might be able to crash the event after the baby goes to bed, which means I have a driver!!! | | | |

| David,
Stop trying to be different haha. You are the one who told me small offlines are better than large offlines since you can get a bigger pour. 1.5 oz is good for yquem though!

| Dave, my wife will NOT be joining us for dinner (or wine). Instead, she'll be crashing around 8:00 and trying to compensate for anything I have said prior to that point in the evening. | | | |
