I went to a dinner the week before last where the 1990 Krug was just blown away by the 1996 Dom. Completely different styles, but to a person everyone preferred the DP that night.
'96 Dom is a brilliant wine. And, in a weird way, it may be more ready to drink than the '90 Krug. I'm not completely surprised by that showing. | | I can't listen to that much Wagner. I start getting the urge to conquer Poland. -- Woody Allen

| since this has been the week from hell and I'm having a senior moment-- what time is this shindig??? I've got some Italian that I'm going to have to check-- no whites- but the wine list at dino is quite nice and reasonable-- so we should be OK-- Norm | | | |

| 730pm!
I will bring something red and maybe something white and maybe something extra. If I have no decent whites, we can always buy off the list. | | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com

| 7:30pm it is. Under my name - James (party of 12). Restaurants like Dino are precisely the ones we should be supporting, even as we bring our own wines. Just a side note, I'll be closing at my job on Saturday so my arrival time will be around 845pm. Save me a seat and a glass of bubbly! | | | |

| The 2001 Tig is on the list ($87 I think). I ordered it last time I was there and it was drinking beautifully. | | | |

| Good price, but IMO, too early to drink. Glad to read that it is drinking nicely now though.
Fred: good luck with move. i wish I could be there.

| I still have no idea what to bring. Mrs. TJ will not be attending, most likely. Still a small chance she will, but we'll see. I'll be there right at 7:30 this time. Sorry you'll miss it raybanz (PM me if you're up for lunch anytime in Owings Mills though, natch). | | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com | |
