I'm focusing on Spain since my Italian holdings are...(JT cover your ears)....absolutely nothing. GO Spanish.

I would love for you guys to bring something from Spain - DW, that 1999 Clos Martinet should be drinking very well right now (I had a less than perfect bottle last week, and that was still good).

I'm leaning toward bringing a Ciacci 1997 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva (don't say I don't luv ya Fred), and ordering a bottle off the list.

I may also be a little late, since I have to close the store on Saturday.

Never underestimate the power of the Las Rocas. Glad to see some other Spanish wines showing up as well.

WHOA! If I didn't say I was attending already, that bottle of vino alone would make it worth the trip!

Oh, and to say 'See ya Fred!' D'oh.

unfortunately Wilma can't make it. I'm sure there's a Bam-Bam joke in there but I can't find it.

The Port is standing up and has been for the last couple days. The Spanish is the 2002 San Roman Toro which was a recommendation for Jaimetown. Let me know if the San Roman isn't ready to drink JT and I'll think of something else. I might throw in another bottle of something just to keep it interesting.

Now I am thinking cab + mystery wine (red). Or if you want a white, I can bring mystery wine (white) and mystery wine (red). Fred, your call.

fred - 1977 Port

jaimetown - Ciacci 1997 Brunello Riserva + bottle off list
dw - Clos Martinet 1999 Priorat

We need bubblies and whites. Who's gonna step up? We can also order off the excellent list (one of the best selections and prices in town).

Opening TJ's Ramey's might be a great idea, but you will have to ask TJ. He is awash in them. Cab or mystery white?

Both. I'm instituting a little tag line for this meal. Nike has "Just Do It" I'm coining "Just Bring It!" for this dinner. When in doubt....."Just Bring It!"

LOL! Me may very well open some Ramey. heh heh

I will dig deep and see what I can bring that is good. There is a chance that Mrs. TJ might attend if there's room, too.

Mystery red is coming in any event. I'll make an executive decision. Cab + mystery red.

I went to a dinner the week before last where the 1990 Krug was just blown away by the 1996 Dom. Completely different styles, but to a person everyone preferred the DP that night.
