| This is almost upon us soooo how about some restaurant idea's? Komi is in there as alway's, there is Marcel's which is a bit more upscale you guy's might have to pull out the jacket for this one but the food is worth it. There is alway's Charlie Palmer Steak, Nadine Brown is a great Somm. and would love to have us, again might have to pull out the jacket. There is Palena, there is Dino, There is Chez Vince There are places we haven't been such as 701 Penn, Cap Grill, Sonoma, Cashions, etc. You all get one suggestion and then I'm making the final vote. So that means no multiple well we could go here or here or here....pick a spot and go with it. If I choose your restaurant you get a prize. So let's have em. | | | "It's better to have your enemies inside the tent pissing out, then outside the tent pissing in." -- Lyndon Johnson | |

| Have we actually chosen a date? Komi would be nice and I missed the last dinner there, as would Marcel's. I don't think Palena can handle a large group, and our last two DC Crü dinners have been there. Charlie Palmer's would be good too, as we haven't had a "Steak Night" in a while. 701 is nice, and convenient to the METRO.
As you can see, I'm easy to please.

| I think it depends on how many the group ends up being. Palena has a tiny kitchen and could not handle a big group (even if we crashed the place with a bunch of separate reservations). So I think it is out, even though it would get my hands down vote.
Cashion's might be cool and I have not been there in ages, but might have similar problems to Palena.
Dino is of course great. Komi would be astonishing as well.
But, assuming we could sweet talk the folks at Corduroy about being allowed to bring in more than three bottles of BYOW wine, I think it has my vote. They can handle a large group and the food is excellent. | | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com

| Dinwiddie and TJ are officially disqualified. You can still come but you don't get to suggest any more restaurants since you violated the rules of the game. You didn't make any suggestion and added further confusion by mentioning the lack of a date and attendee list. Those are secondary issues right now. At this rate I'm going to pick the restaurant all by myself. | | | "It's better to have your enemies inside the tent pissing out, then outside the tent pissing in." -- Lyndon Johnson | |

| Mark's Duck House. Inexpensive chinese food. No coat. Will allow carry-in Boston beans. | | | |

I wanted you to be confused. The date issue is not a problem for me, I just want to know what night I have to beg my wife to be allowed off the leash. Besides, I was just putting those comments out there so the others could make a more informed choice when making their suggestions. Personally I'd vote for Komi (I haven't been and it is easy to get to on METRO)

I'm going to need a judges ruling.......nope your still DQ'd... You said and I quote "I THINK it has my vote." Not "Corduroy has my vote." I'm going to check you down as having voted for Corduroy just the same because I'm a nice guy. Good suggestion. The rest of you we'll have a date shortly. | | | "It's better to have your enemies inside the tent pissing out, then outside the tent pissing in." -- Lyndon Johnson

| Freddy Boy...
Copping the 'tude aren't we???? Just because you're heading out of town doesn't mean that you can claim dictatorial powers now, does it....or maybe it does??
Since I haven't eaten yet at Dino, that's my vote. There, was that decisive enough?

| I don't know if I am in yet, but my votes are: Dino and April 1st (because it isn't a work night, not because something called "Fool's Day" would be appropriate for Fred ). | | | |

As the only Crüdites over the age of 50 (and thus the elders of the tribe) I think that c-kat, T-Rep, (Dave??) and I should be the final judges of Fred's punishment for 1) having the gaul to leave this fair city and Crü and 2) being a snotty young pup who thinks he can make the rules.

I didn't think you were, but I didn't want to leave you out if you were. Sorry however, only us old farts get to pass judgement and mete out punishment. Maybe we'll make him drink the dump bucket. And April 1 works for me as well.
