| OK, the 26th it is. Who is available on the 26th? So far we have:
Doc Mr. & Mrs. AlexRed Dinwiddie Dave
Interested, but haven't confirmed the 26th: T rep Capitolkat Jaimetown Raybanz
If we do the mailing list cabs motif, I'll bring a 2002 Wolf Family cab and a 2002 Anomaly (for Doc). If we do something else, I'll find something suitable! |

| Turns out that I won't be able to do dinner on the 26th but I have some vino for Doc to take back to Joburg with him, so maybe I'll swing by the restaurant to deliver the goods when you all arrive.....where's the dinner going to be?

I am certainly not thinking of dropping Wolf Family! That was hard to find after the Parker write-up. I just thought it might be fun to try some of the 2001/2002 cabs (e.g., Match, Ladera, Neal, Phelps, Karl Lawrence, Harris Estate, Anomaly, etc.) so that we can make more informed buying choices this Spring.
Should I make dinner reservations at Komi for 6 or 8 at say 7:00?

| cool dave. I was a little confused as you could tell... a whole dinner of borderline cabs? eheeh
I am definitely not dropping Match (have no disagreement from Julie there either) but i will bring one if some people need convincing.... and something else... Maybe the harris estate
sounds great to me. I haven't been to Komi...

| I'm in for whereever we go. If you guys bring the big reds, I'll bring a bottle of white, just to make things more interesting. I'd love to do Komi, but is it open from it's 1) winter renovation and 2) I think that their winter menu will be the same as what we had in December. | | | |

| James, you generally have good restaurant connections/selections. Where should we go? We do need a white! | | | |

| How about Palena? For Doc of course... Can they accept a party of six and six bottles of wine? | | | |

| If you must decide on Palena, then I guess I can be arm twisted? Yes, the number of bottles should be fine. Corkage is $20 per. I remember that the T-Rep's and the Doc's probably cracked 4-5 one night there.

| You guys are killing me! I can't make it (well, there is an extremely slim chance), but making it a Palena thing is pure agony for me!
I think Palena will book a 6 top -- they only have one! Beyond that will require just coordinating a few extra tables if it comes to that. | | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com

| Sounds like we better book a 6 and cross our fingers. I'll be willing to drop out if Capitolkat wants to come and we're over-subscribed. | | | |

I left a message this morning with Palena inquiring about about a table for 6 folks on thursday night (or to see if one of us already did it) haven't heard back yet. didn't mention the wine yet. figured i do that in person to the reservation taker... didn't want to scare them off. someone said that corkage is usually $20 at Palena? only been there once and i forgot what/if i was charged (brought one and bought one)
