| A question about getting into Manhattan from Jersey City:
Is it easy to get from my hotel in Jersey City to NYC by train? If so, about how long would it take to do this. I am seriously considering going to NYC on Monday before I fly back. Thanks.

| It's a slam dunk (depending on how close your hotel is to a PATH train). If it's close, take the PATH straight into the city. Could be as short as 10 minutes (on the train) or as long as 20 if you go all the way to 33rd St.
www.panynj.com has information and maps
According to the hotel website, it's also one block away from the ferry terminal (NY Waterway). That's another option but more expensive ($5 one way vs. $1 or $1.50 on the PATH).

| Brad, did you decide on the time yet?
P.S.: Brad, there will be 3 of us as I mentioned in the PM. She may drive in with TBird. They are both coming from the great state of Bklyn.

-- yes, it will be a Spanish wine.

FACTS AND FIGURES
For the Superbowl:
Site: Ford Field - Detroit, Mich.
Date: Feb. 5, 2006
Game time: 6 p.m. EST
Halftime Entertainment: Rolling Stones
Cost of the Vince Lombardi Trophy: $25,000
ABC will be televising its 7th Super Bowl.
For the Superbowl at Brad's House:
Arrive anytime after 4:30pm
Wines: Post what you'd like to bring in this thread. We can decide as a group, as that might be the most fun for everyone? Not going to have an extremely structured tasting.... it's a Superbowl party after all... with good food and great wine.
It will be buffet style, but will have appetizers, cheeses, Italian meats, etc... along with more of an entree dish, and desserts.... I will have vegetarian dishes as well.
Party ends when it ends.... :-)
Questions? Suggestions? Let me know....

| Official Superbowl kit (locker room tee, locker room cap, dvd):$69.99
Superbowl parking at Ren Cen:$125.00
Superbowl Goal-line suite (from official broker):$6,105.00
Mingling with VC-ites, sipping heavenly wine (while ignoring Superbowl XL on Brad's HDTV Bigscreen): Priceless
There are some things that money can't buy. For everything else, there's MasterCard.

| Great party -
Brad: Excellent hosting, with all those cheeses, meats and delicious ribs, followed by pastries and great coffee (albeit sullied by some cream and sugar much to LCC's chagrin)! Didn't get to taste a lot of other goodies (quiche, salad, etc).
Kosta Brown Kanzler, Turley, Clos Mogador, Clos Martinet, and a burg that STW and Ojeffso will describe - all great wines! Missed the Torbreck Descendant - but there were too many wines.
Enjoyed meeting TBird and ItalianWino.
Great discussion on whether Elvis truly is king!
I am sure LCC and others will post tasting notes...

| Funny stuff, vinotyro!
Indeed ... what can I say ... great!
Good to meet TBird & IW. I have to say that I respect TBird's opinion on wine, food, & chocolate. The guy knows his chocolate, not too many do (as well as wine). But man oh man, dissing The King?!?
A huge thank you to Mr. VC. The cheese course was awesome & for me "food of the night". But, a great, great job by Brad! Thanks a LOT, Brad for hosting & all you did.
The wines were all excellent! Thanks all!
