| Yup - it was snowing when we arrived but has been sporadically sunny, too. Perfect if you're skiing... ...which we are not. Thanks, Bob, for doing all the legwork on this... | | | In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is

| I think we are now set forCindy’s Backstreet Kitchen . Here is what we’ve worked out with them: - we will be upstairs - 2 glasses per person (and dump bucket, of course) - unlimited corkage - 3 family style appetizers - choice of soup or salad - choice of 2 mains - choice of 2 desserts - $76/person (includes everything)
Since some of us are driving up after work, I’ll book the room for 7pm and if you can get here earlier, we’ll just start the party at my house.
Stacey is working the menu choices with the chef and I will report back if she has been successful getting the meatloaf included
Since no theme has been picked – let’s do “Big Reds”. (And, as always, you are free to ignore the theme – subject, of course, to abuse from your peers.)

Soup/Salad Course: Mixed greens with spiced pecans, pears, and maple vinaigrette -or- Chef's soup of the day
Entree: Pablo's Pollo Loco (lime, chili, garlic marinaded) with avocado salsa and a pepper stuffed with 2 cheeses -or- Cindy's Famous Meat Loaf (Bob's favorite) with mashed potatoes and veggies
Dessert: Campfire Pie -or- Pineapple Upside Down Cake
We have to give them a final headcount by Monday.

| Awesome Bob! This is shaping up nicely, I think I'm going to try to make our schedules work so we spend the night up valley - the drive home on a Thursday ofter this is sounding less and less appealing! | | | 2008: the end of an error | |

| Any chance someone could bring me a 12-bottle shipper? I figured maybe someone would have one around and I've already filled up mine. I'm sure I'll soon be ready to fill another and have it shipped. I'm afraid with a stopover in Seattle on the way home, I'll be charged twice for extra baggage... | | | In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is

| Wow, very cool. I had completely forgotten about this, but we are in! Are there any affordable places to crash for the night near Cindy's? We have to come back the next day... Big reds... I might have one or two What wines are other folks bringing? | | | |

| Randy, we booked a room for the night at the Ink House. I've never been before, but they accept one night reservations and the cheapest room (shared bath) is $125/night - not bad. BTW, we're planning on hooking up with Juan Mercado the next day around 1PM if you're interested in joining us. | | | 2008: the end of an error | |

| Eric, I'd love to join you the next day, but 1 PM is out of the question... I still need to pretend to work that day Any chance you & Juan could do it in the morning? Say like 10, maybe even 11? Any later won't work for us. Thanks for the ink house reco -- I'll be calling them shortly | | | |

| Randy, we're meeting with Juan in the afternoon at his suggestion that he also introduce us to Jeff Smith of Hourglass. Should be quite interesting | | | 2008: the end of an error | |

| OK, I officially hate you Just kidding... But I am EXTREMELY jealous! No way I can stay until 1 PM... I'm supposed to work Friday I think we're going to try and stay at the Milat houses... they have three cabins right on their property and among their vineyards. Rates are quite low ($99/night)! So, once again... any hints about what other folks are bringing? Should I just show up with some wine of whatever kind? | | | |
