The AP Vin would be a 2004. The possible problem with using 2004's is that not all the 2004 Clos Pepe's may be released by the time we have this tasting. In which case the 2003 vintage would be a better one to use.

Sounds good to me.

I could have sworn that the last time we did this we did it with two different vineyards. The deal was a challenge by Jones with the Brewer Clifton Pinot against something else. We had the event at Adam's place and Adam counted all the votes so naturally the Siduri won . Just because Siduri was the best doesn't mean anything.

Which two vineyards did you pick last time?

That's it. Thanks Jason.

I do remember that two flights were just right followed by a "free-for-all" with a lot of good spit to choose from. That was the first time I actually enjoyed tasting the Alcina. I had tasted it before but it had always been a TAD tannic before.

I'm watching. Will be fun to see what is decided.

How about a Clos Pepe vineyard vs. Melville vineyard tasting?

That would be interesting since they're right next door to each other.

Sounds like a terrific concept...count me in. I'm happy to contribute wine where I can....and to do punch downs if needed

I agree about waiting til mid Nov (or whenever) to do this.

Sarah... hmmmm. Sarah. I seem to have vague memories of someone by that name who used to post here on occasion. I wonder what happened to her.
