Ok Corkage, I'll take that to mean that JohnnyB is a definite rather than a tentative (I haven't been listing tentatives). JohnnyB, please correct if this is wrong. That will mean that we're officially full. It is a long time till September 24th though so if any tentatives would like to attend, please let me know and I'll add a waitlist. I would expect that there will be some cancellations between now and then. I'll send my address and directions to everyone.

Jaimetown, I think that Meritages or Bordeaux would be fine. A bottle of Champagne or a dessert wine will work as well.

Sounds like fun! I wish we still lived in DC to attend, but now I will have to start another cru down here in Jo-burg. We will see how South African wines turn out.

Mrs. TJ and I are presently more for sure available for this if two spots open up. We'll try to keep the date open with that hope in mind.

TJ, I will check with everyone in a few weeks to make sure that all are coming. If you know what wine you are bringing, send me a PM or post. That will help me decide what to pull out of the cellar. We should have plenty of wine so couples shouldn't feel like they need to bring 2 bottles.

Well, I was a tentative, but Karen has something planned for that day and DW Jr. and I have to be out of the house all day. So I figure we'll find something to do that day.

I'll start things off on the wines - I'm in for a Pride 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon and a J.J. Christoffel 2002 Auslese for dessert.

Jaimetown, talk about a good start! I am planning to serve an '84 Phelps Backus cab, an '84 Diamond Creek Gravelly Meadow and an '85 Forman. I may add another '84/'85 cab. Try as we might, I don't think that we'll be able to match the Boston crowd.

OK, so if I am in, I need to sort out bringing a cab or two, right? No problemo. Not sure what yet though.

Dave -- a couple of questions --

--What is the start time of this fine event?
--Do you need us to bring anything? Such as cheese or something else?

TJ, glasses! We will need extra glasses at this event I fear. If you would like to bring some cheese that would be great, but certainly not required. I will, of course, need assistance grilling the steaks and keeping the Big Green Egg at 800 degrees or so. Start time is 6:30. I think that one bottle per couple will give us plenty of wine, especially with our solos bringing multiple bottles!

Stems we can do. Cheese we'll probably maybe bring! And we'll be there by 6:30! Looking forward to it!

If there are any further drop outs I'd like in (for one or two as available). I can bring Bordeaux/Cab stems as well as cheese!
