| LODGING OPTIONS The Sea Shell 10 S. Atlantic Ave. Beach Haven, NJ 08008 609-492-4611
Julia’s of Savannah 209 Centre St. Beach Haven, NJ 08008 609-492-5004

Coral Seas Oceanfront Motel 21 Coral St. Beach Haven, NJ 08008 609-492-1141
As of right now, the Sea Shell has 7 rooms available. Since I know the owner, he has agreed to wave the 2 night minimum. Just make sure you mention my name when making a reservation. Julia's is a beautiful little B&B just down the street from the restaurant. I believe 5 rooms are open there.
The biggest thing we need right now is payment from everyone. You can check the first post in this thread for the particulars. I will be pm'ing everyone shortly.
It is also not too late to join us. If anyone else is interested, please let me know and forward a payment to Brad. We can add people up to Oct. 1st.

| Excellent, prosp.
I'm firming up the menu tomorrow and then we'll deal with splitting everyone up into tables so wines can be chosen.

| Green Gables also has an Inn, is there any reason why that wasn't listed as a lodging option? I'm waiting to hear back from Julia's, but it looks like they have a 2 night minimum. I'm going to see what happens when I use jb's name there | | | |

| The rooms at Green Gables are already booked. They only have 6 rooms.
You might have better luck using my name, Joe Bembry, at the Sea Shell. I have a relationship with the owner, Tom. He will wave the 2 night minimum if he has rooms left.

| Ok, I finally got the menu. Here it is...
Arugula, aged goat cheese and heirloom tomatoes (tentative as he wants to make sure the heirlooms are not dried out)
Roasted Black Sea Bass, Gingered Delicata Squash & Cilantro Pesto
Lobster & Shitake Mushroom Risotto
Braised Short Ribs with Horseradish Potato Mousse & Caramelized Root Vegetables
Pear Clafoutis
Feel free to shoot me a pm with what wine you would like to bring. The wines that tend to work best with Rich Diemer's food are delicate ones. Looking forward to seeing you all on the 8th.

| I'd like to hear options on the table arrangements. LCC's group has their own table. He is in charge of their wines. Since we have lost quite a few people, we have 11 remaining diners right now. I may have up to an additional 4 people wanting to attend, in which case we would brake off into 2 tables. My thought is that we have 3 tables regardless (including lcc's) as it will be difficult to get good pours with 11 people. I'd rather have 5 or 6 wines and have time to live with them a bit then try to "shotgun" through 11 wines. Thoughts?

| j_b - that works for me. I like the idea of getting a good pour of 5-6 wines, and then possibly "roaming" to see what others have. | | | |

| 5-6 wines for 11-15 people. I would recommend 7-8 @ least. My group has 10 people, we will bring 9-10 bottles. The party starts @ 6:30pm, so I figure plenty of time to savor the wines & no need to rush. Plenty of H2O & time is a good recipe for not over doing it. So, a couple extra bottles sounds good to me. I always like to have extras (just in case) then runout & not enough.
j_b: how is the glasses situation @ that place (quality, I mean): OK, good, very good, adequate?
Hey Brad, did I read it correctly somewnere in this thread that you volunteered to bring a bottle of 70 Taylor’s Fladgate Vintage Port?
And, j_b, how about an address for this place. | | | |
