Great pics TJ. except for the fact they are all sideways but again it looked like another kick butt meal at Chez Vincent.

TJ, I nominate you as the official photographer for the September event. It'll be much easier. One pic of a slab of steak on a plate and another of a spilled glass of wine.

Nice pics, TJ.
(But, did you know you can rotate them?)

Just rotate your head. Or maybe your computer monitor. That should work.

The Exorcist came to mind when I read that. Do we need to call the local parish priest for you?

#1 is Roasted corn chowder, blue corn/jalapeno corn bread, bacon and garlic chive oil
#2 is Miso-broiled sockeye salmon, balck sesame steamed rice, tomato-ginger cream sauce in the glass cup

These two courses were particular favorites of mine. The corn chowder alone was worth the price of admission.

Now, what prompted this much delayed post was running across a list of the wines and my attempts to get tasting notes out on these. Sadly, my memory sucks and I really need to tap some TN descriptors in my Blackberry during these dinners like I did at Dave's. I'll try to post even the vaguest of notes when I get a chance. But, of the list --

Quote:

1996 Nicolas Feuilatte Champagne
1988 Salon Champagne
1999 Rudd RRV Chardonnay
1999 Rudd Carnerson Chardonnay
2001 Ojai Santa Lucia PN
2003 Pax Waller Vine Syrah
2000 Martinelli Hereford Corner PN
1995 Brunello di Montalcino Pertimalli
1998 Rosso di Montalcino Vigna de Capraia
1999 Zoom Zinfandel Pasa Robles
1963 Dow Port

I really liked the Pax....a LOT. The Martinelli Hereford is a favorite of mine so I enjoyed that as well. The Brunello and both Champers were quite, quite good, too, IIRC. I have difficulty remembering the others in too much detail though. D'oh!! One final mucho thanks to Corkage as well as the rest of the Crü for sharing a great time.
