| Alexred! Yet another DC Cru member to succumb to the name changing madness. Some, like travelsales&marketingguywhohappenstolovewine, switched to shorter screen names. Your new name is longer, but much easier to say! | | | |

| And who might that travelsalesandmarketingguywhohappenstolovewine be???? Moi???? Call me what you will but don't call me late for dinner...
Sorry about the funky veal and lobster. The salmon was really good and I happened to like the lobster. Mrs. T's nephew's girlfriend is a chef in SF and she mentioned yesterday that the chef probably knew that the veal could be a problem in that they probably had done some prep to it, messed it up and used what they could from the veal, hence the very thin portions. Just a thought....

| I quite obviously missed quite a night. Good to see the Crü hitting on all cylanders. Thanks for all the TNs, too. That Whisperin E. Whoa nelly. | | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com | |

| Great time everyone. It was wonderful to see old friends and meet new ones. Yes, the food was not great, but the wines, discussions, and friends were first class. Thanks for a great effort in organizing all of this, T-Rep. Looking forward to the July 23 offline, especially b/c Pat, Anil, and I are moving to Johannesburg, South Africa the first week of August for the next 3 years.

| Let's see, at this point all I can do is add to the consensus.
My wines of the night were the Aubert and the Groth Mrs. raybanz's wines of the night were the Whispering E and the Groth
The food was... well... not as good as the wine.
Thanks again to T-rep for the planning (and the ride to the hotel).
It was great to meet Gary and Kathy, as well as Annebert and PurpleHaze. Dave, you need to bring mrs. Dave back so I can say more than "hi" next time.
I came with 5 bottles of wine and left with 6, so I guess the night was a success! | | | |

| Raybanz, deal. I had a great chat with Mrs. Raybanz while your were off and about. I'll second the notion that it was nice to meet Annebert and Purple Haze. I didn't figure out they were newcomers until late in the tasting. And it was fun to have Mr. & Mrs. Gary (100% of the non-DC contingent) at our table. | | | |

| Its unfortunate that the food didn't measure up. I've eaten there several times and have never been disappointed. But its seems the consensus (of some pretty serious tastebuds) concur. Perhaps the group thing wasn't his thing, but I would hope that you would try it again anyways. | | | |

| I'd probably try it again, Corkage, but in all honesty and based on this sole experience, Jamie (I believe that's the chef's name) can't compete with you, and you've cooked more complex, exquisitely plated (no thanks to me nor Raybanz), and far tastier dishes for larger groups in your own home. | I hate to say it, but I only have three or so pics. I'll put them up on Ofoto over the weekend and let you know how to access them.
