Last night -- Wings

Maybe it is a generation thing... what are "wings"?

I'm not CellarKeeper but I think he meant chicken wings.

Last night dinner prepared by DJ Hombre:

Red beets and mixed greens with ricotta (?) and a spice dressing.
Duck with Riso

Beet, Orange and Goat Cheese Salad
Duck Breast with Roasted Fresh Asparagus, Farro with Orange Zest

Agreed that John has quite a culinary talent. And he is quite the professional, as he was able to cook for 12 people in a residential kitchen without any help and it was No Big Deal.

Shrimp freshly pulled from the clear, icy waters of Prince William Sound. Steamed and dipped in a choice of lemon butter, cocktail sauce, or Thai sweet red chili sauce.
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is... .ps - friends don't let friends eat farmed salmon.

Tonight at L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon:

Seared tuna belly w/ crispy onions -wow
Lamb chops - double wow
cheese course (somewhat disappointing, given the 1st two courses)

I also got 2 orders of the mashed potatoes (or, it's probably more accurate to say butter w/ a bit of potato added) not intentionally, however - didn't realize the tuna came with. I ate it all, however.

That's completely disgusting and inappropriate. Vietnamese people don't eat canine like what you see on that disturbing video.

I understand that these are special breeds that are bred specifically for eating. It's not like they're family pets or anything.

Still, it must be an acquired taste.
