What to order? Do I ask the sommilloyster?

Sommiloyster. I love it!

When faced with the daunting task of choosing from so many oysters....I order lots of different ones. It's fun to try different types and see the differences.

So you take tasting notes? The names are difficult to remember; almost as bad as French wine. And I assume there are differences from year to year as well as within certain areas of the same bay or whatever.

I should take tasting notes, Pops. But no, I don't. Really Mrs. TJ and I just order lots and we try them all and we usually remember the top two or three we liked best to try to commit them to memory for future orders....

The key word in your post is "try". It just doesn't work, at least for me, if I don't take notes.

I have the same exact problem with cheese.

I know Mrs. TJ will remember. She's got an amazing memory.
