| I don't drink Shiner Bock. When I drink beer, preference goes to Coors Light and Miller Lite. | | | |

| See, I always thought true Chili was ONLY beans (no meat). Why else would the canned chili (beans and meat) you see in stores be labeled "chili con carne" (chili with meat)?? If it was the other way around, shouldn't it be "chili con beans"? | | | |

| Grocery store brands = chili con carne = beans are cheaper than meat. | | | |

| This all may be correct and I have no opinion or statement regarding real chili and beans, but I can say that I prefer chili to have both meat and beans and a significant amount of heat. | | | |

| It's fun trying something other than kidney beans. Anasazi beans are tasty. Lentils are yummy. I've made a chili with chicken and white beans, too. | | | |

| I like my chilli with meat and beans over white rice. Beer is my beverage of choice, it'd be difficult to find a wine that pairs better. | | | |

| It is almost blasphemous to put beans in chili in Texas. However, starting with Wick Fowlers 3 Alarm as a kind of "roux" and adding ground venison in stead of beef, red kidney beans along with extra spices like comino, tomato sauce w/ green chilies, jalapeno, garlic and onion then serving it with jalapeno corn bread and an ice cold Bock ain't such a bad way to spend mealtime. < that is a very hot face after a bite and before the Bock. | | | |

Plus, I understand that's legal in Texas. | | | 2008: the end of an error | |
