| Le Creuset. Thanks. The name escaped me. | | | |

| I have a couple of Le Creusets as well and love them but darn are they heavy. They maintain a lot of heat, I love them for making soups and stews. They clean up really nice too. I don't think my shelves could hold a whole set of them though. | | | |

| La Creuset is the cast iron cookware with the enamel coating. Great braising pans, too. Chantal makes the earthenware like the Emile Henry: bowls, etc. and a line of steel and enamelized pans.
Chantal makes great teapots with the dual whistle by Hohner, the harmonica folks.

| Can't believe I'm actually posting something regarding pots and pans. Unbelievable.
That said, my wife wanted an "all clad" set for the kitchen a year or so ago. After doing some research she found what she considered an unbelievable deal at Costco. This is exactly the type of item you can pick up there and save a bunch of money.

| I'd love to get some Le Creuset stuff, at least one implement. Maybe a terrine? Ah who knows. | | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com | |

| All Clad has just been acquired by a French Company from Waterford Wedgewood. All Clad is located just south of Pittsburgh and holds an annual sale there that causes stampedes. | | | |

| The sale is this coming Friday for you bargain-seekers. My wife and sister are planning on attending. I can't wait to see "how much $$ Conni will have saved us". | | | |

| Our 10" Calphalon skillet was damaged somehow so everything we cooked in it would stick. So we stopped by Foley's today during their Red Apple Fourth of July sale and came home with 8", 10" and 12" skillets for, get this, $60.00. | | | Joe-----Wine is like potato chips around me...if it's open, it's gone. | |

| Now that my pots and pans will be leaving the house in two weeks, I am in the market for a new set. I have narrowed it down to Calphalon One and All Clad LTD. I am leaning towards the Calphalon because of the cheaper price/more pots and the ease of cleaning. Has anyone cooked on both of these that could make a reccommendation? | | | |

I have some of both of these. I don't think the Calphalon One stuff is easier to clean than the AC LTD.

| I would buy the All Clad without hesitation. The Copper Core if you can afford them is definitely the way to go but even regular level AC is quite fine. Copper Core is the majority of my equipment I use in my kitchen. Most of my Calphalon equipment finds its way to Goodwill or the trash can eventually. | | | |
