| Just had the 2000 tonight... opening up nicely.. especially after a good hour in the decanter. Very drinkable now IMO, but I think it has yet to peak. | | | If you drink wine, you get smarter.... | |

| Brad, I would disagree. I believe this is AT its peak. The next day at lunch time the wine had turned to vinegar, which surprised me greatly. I will be consuming these over the next 2 years. | | | |

| Interesting that I had this also not too long ago (posted above), & I thought that it could use more time (to improve).
That's the uniqueness of wine & tastes/palates.

| FWIW - I drank all of my bottles already thinking they were near or at peak. I certainly don't regret finishing them - they were $20 fairly generic Bordeaux bottles that served their purpose. (I didn't buy them to cellar long term...) | | | |

| I'll be trying one again soon... see if I get any bottle variation. Since purchase they have been in my 55 degree cooler, but on the bottom. Maybe they are developing just a bit slower.
In any case, it's good to have other opinions... will keep me from over shooting my drinking window. :-) | | | If you drink wine, you get smarter....

| Grabbed a few cheaply-priced bottles at Total Slime. It's great juice at the price point, I think. | | | Visit The Butcher Block at http://www.butcherblocktampa.com/ | |

| I had a bottle of this about 2-3 months ago and felt it still needed 2 years or so. I have a couple left to try out my estimated window. | | | |

| 2000 Reignac - France, Bordeaux, Bordeaux Supérieur (4/1/2006) Really dark in the glass. Minimal aromatics, giving a stingey bit of red currant, forest. Flavors are firm on the palate pushing most of the taste toward the backend with black fruits, licorice, leather, white pepper. The tannins on the finish are dominant, but still allow some of the fruit to push through. This took a couple hours to open up. The wine seems to be tasting still a bit young to my palate and I would suggest holding for another 1-2 years. 88+ pts Posted from CellarTracker | | | |

| Opened a bottle last night due to Randy's recom that it is ready to go. Indeed, I agree with Randy, it is ready to go. I gave it 30 mins, & it was drinkin' fine after that point. I don't see a rush to polish these off, but certainly ready to go. But again, I agree with Randy that holding for too long (5+ is too long). Drink in the next 1-3.
I see that in 05 I rated it 91+. I have to bring it down some based on last night. Last night it was an 89.

| LCC, glad I'm not alone. This was a great $19 wine, but it ain't gonna age like a Mouton or Lafite. Drink up.
Kind of funny/impressive... uncle bob considers this wine fully mature, with a drinking window that closes in 2013. That would be about 5 years....
