I want to go to JimmyV's for Christmas :-)

We're having an oak-tastic Christmas with a 4 rib roast -
2002 Argyle Brut (had it at the Herbfarm the other night and my wife loved it)
2004 Woodward Canyon Old Vines Cab (no mag storage, so it's now or never with this tannic/oaky monster.  Pulled the cork last night!)

Along with SQN Nobleman & 2000 Alban Costello.  Noble man was good, but the Costello was out of this world.

Araujo Cab was my WOTN.  Not a bad wine in the bunch.

2006 Herb Lamb Sauvignon Blanc EII Napa Valley White Wine
2001 Neal Cabernet Sauvignon
N.V. Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin Champagne Brut
N.V. Roederer Estate Brut Rosé
2003 Ramey Chardonnay Ritchie Vineyard

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is... .ps - friends don't let friends eat farmed salmon.

We had some bottles of Ch. Ste. Michelle 2004 cabernet with our extended family on Christmas (along with a nice bottle of sake), but my wife and I (OK, mostly me!) opened a bottle of 1998 Château La Conseillante before heading out to Seattle.

It was just Teri & I for a long weekend along the coast over Christmas. It think we did pretty well, wine-wise:

2005 Core 613 White Blend
2001 Tandem Pinot Noir, Keefer Ranch
1964 Borgogno Barbaresco Riserva
1964 Borgogno Barolo Riserva
1947 Borgogno Barolo Riserva
1971 Borgogno Barolo Riserva
2001 Marquis Philips Shiraz '9'
2006 Husch Sauvignon Blanc, Mendocino County
2002 Radio Coteau Syrah, Timbervine
NV Elie et Alain Renardat-Fache Bugey-Cerdon Methode Ancestrale
1985 Williams Selyem Pinot Noir, Rochioli Vineyard
2002 Shafer Cabernet Sauvignon, Hillside Select
1999 Beringer Nightingale
1938 Massandra Red Muscat
2005 Jackson-Triggs Vidal Icewine

I have a boat load of notes and will be posting later today or tomorrow.
