| I am doing well. Down to 20 and it will be 11 after I get up to Copain. It has never been this low since I started keeping track in 2003.

| Paul - you are so virtuous. After today's Le Cadeau delivery I'm at 70 bottles. Many of these are 2005 Burgundies so I don't expect to see them for quite some time. | | | |

| I've bloated up to 156 bottles. The good news is that 144 of these are 2005 red burgs. Both numbers are likely to increase tomorrow by another 18 bottles. | | | | |

| Not counting a case of futures, I am down to 20 bottles. And that will drop even lower next week. This is the furthest that I have been down in 3 years. | | | Beta testing a new signature. | |

| A mere 27 bottles including 12 that will arrive next week: | 1997 | Villa Cafaggio Cortaccio | | 1997 | Â Lisini Brunello | | 1997 | Volpaia Castello di Balifico | | 1997 | Il Greppone Mazzi Brunello | | 1995 | Alvaro Palacios Finca Dolfi | | 2000 | Clerico Barolo Ciabot Mentin Ginestra | | 1997 | Huet Cuvee Constance |
One each of the above with the exception of 2 Il Greppone and 5 Clerico. It is clear to me that my wife doesn't allot to me the same kind of wine budget some of you have. Please share your secret. | | Here's to the corkscrew - a useful key to unlock the storehouse of wit, the treasury of laughter, the front door of fellowship, and the gate of pleasant folly. | For the first time since I began keeping track, I am down to zero, zip, none. WOW. My basement looks like hell, but every single bottle that I have ordered has come in. That can only mean one thing............There is probably an order form in my mailbox as I type this. Or there is an e-mail waiting to be read. As soon as I get around to ordering my Kongsgaard, I will have broken the string. But that is a far cry from the 120+ bottles I was waiting on a few months ago. | | | Beta testing a new signature. | |

| Jimmyv, how does the area under your pool table look? We are at 70 bottles outstanding as of today. This is likely to go down in the next few days as one last delivery slips in via expedited delivery. | | | |

A solid block of wine. And the area under the pinball machine now holds 6 cases. I am going to be ordering a 120 bottle redwood rack soon and have cleared out some wall space to anchor it to the wall. That should allow me to clear out almost all of the wine now sitting sideways in stryo case shippers. This will leave me with 360 bottles in the climate controlled unit and over 400 bottles in my passive basement which changes (slowly) from 58 degrees in Nov.-April; to 63 degrees May, June and October; to 70 degrees in July-September. Less than ideal, but these 400 are all earmarked for consumption within 1-3 years, so I can live with the consequences.

| Got a window in that basement (i.e. partially submerged)? If yes, buy a basic window unit to supplement during hotter months. | | | Joe-----Wine is like potato chips around me...if it's open, it's gone. | |

Basement is completely below ground level. Only windows are very small and sit at ground height perfectly flush with the ground. Wouldn't want to mess with the seal for fear of letting in water when it rains. 8-10 weeks at 70 degrees doesn't scare me. Probably better than 90% of all wine shops out there when they close up shop for the night.

| Down to 53 bottles. No more deliveries until November so this will rise a bit. I've cut way down on the sheer number of bottles I'm buying. Unfortunately the $$ are about the same but actually within a budget (believe it or not...). | | | |
