| I've added some village wines from Chambolle Musigny (Roumier) and d'Angerville (Volnay) - I'll probably buy some more Volnay before all is said and done. Also waiting on Barthod and Fourrier.
I fear I'll never stop buying 2005 red burgs...

| I'm with you, jaimetown. I'll be buying '05 red burgundy for a very long time. Recently, I've locked up some Barthod, Bocquenet and a few Fourriers. I'm waiting for the lions share of Fourrier and potentially some Dujac (at supposedly good pricing, whatever that means). Also grabbed a magnum of Pousse d'Or Clos des Soixante Ouvrees from PC. Burgundy magnums are very cool.
I also backfilled some '99 Jadot NSG Boudots at a great price.

| An inventory check shows almost six cases of 05s in the cellar with no outstanding orders (!). I'm probably done. I just noticed that all of these are all red so I guess I wasn't into the 05 whites. With all of the pre-ox issues I'm not extending myself to buy whites in great quantities anymore. A question for all of you with multiple cases - PourQue, Dave, etc. - are your wines for drinking, investment and/or are you like pirates with their loot? I'm kidding around and assuming all but am mostly just curious. | | | |

| Mine are for drinking. I am 48 and hope to be drinking wine well into (or past?) my 70's. I realized that I needed to buy a bunch now rather than steadily over the next 20 years. | | | |

| I'm close to 5 cases with 1.5 being various whites. I think I'm done with buying unless I luck upon a couple bottles of DRC. | | | |

| I've got about 8 cases - I tell myself that I'll stop around 10. ;) I'll probably be drinking all of it, as I haven't bought a lot of wines that would classify as trophy wines so the margin would not be as great as I would like. | | | |

| Currently my inventory stands at 40 cases plus a few bottles (10 cases Grand Cru; 20 cases Premier Cru; 8.5 cases of Villages; 1.5+ cases of Regional; 63.4% from the Cote de Nuits and 25.8% from Cote de Beaune; $108.23 average per bottle price; 91.1% red and 8.9% white). So far I've sold 3.5 cases (mainly at cost to friends of mine but I've had some lucky scores too) and consumed a little over 5 cases. I plan on continuing to buy select 2005s. Hopefully I'll again get at least a few bottles of DRC (allocations should be any day now) and if Leroy prices aren't too insane I'd really like to get some of her wines especially the VR Premier Crus. | | | |

| My normally reliable source of DRC wines has such small allocations for 2005, (3 Bottles Romanee Conti, 4 Montrachet, 6-12 of the others) they have decided not to sell any at retail right now and just wait a few years to see where the market goes. He did share with me his costs and I was surprised they were not as high as I anticipated but I can't recall them to quote accurately here. | | | |

| I'm sitting on about 21 mixed cases of 2005 red burgs with more coming. I just snagged 3 bottles of Louis Boillot Pommard Les Fremiers to add to the stockpile.
I think it's fair to say that I will not continue this rate with 2006 vintage wines and on!
