Funny as how I just began creating an excel spreadsheet to keep track of my wine, but thanks to this thread I started using cellar tracker. It rocks!

David,

As an aside, my insurance company wants a copy of my inventory ever time I renew the policy, so they have a history of fluctations in value and bottle count to look at.

And speaking about lightning striking, the insurance company thought that had happened the first time they asked me to fax a copy of all my wines purchases/sales/consumption records. Their fax machine damn near melted. They now want the short version so I export the records to Excel and send them the file electronicially.
Cheers Ric

I worry not only about big earthquakes, which I can't do much about, but also worry alot about a loss of power, which in the winter here would be disastrous, if I didn't have a generator and back up heat to prevent freezing of water pipes and wine bottles!
Does anyone have a sprinkler system installed in their wine cellar?
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is... .ps - friends don't let friends eat farmed salmon.
