2006 Odysseus Garnatxa Blanca Priorat

I've always enjoyed this wine in the past - their DRY Pedro Ximenez is a cool experience as well.

Drinking it now.  It's incredibly fruity, with pineapple all over the place.  Still, pretty smooth and for 11 euros or so, it's a nice little drinker.

Found a couple of 2005 Ramey Jericho Cabernet for $95 each, so I bought them. Last vintage for this wine, which has consistently been a favorite. Figured I'd add a couple of bottles for old time sake, and the price seemed pretty good.

Wow, how about "what are you hauling home"?? I've been out of the office for about 3 weeks. Loaded up the car with 3 cases of Carlisle, QC, Scarecrow, Pride Reserves, Alban and 2 mags. Completely filled the trunk!

I'm spooked by some of the price increases on my favorite champagnes (some done already but some in the pipeline...):

1998 Taittinger Champagne Brut Blanc de Blancs Comtes de Champagne - this is very good champagne that will drink before the 96s.
2002 Taittinger Champagne Brut Millésimé - taking Saut's word on this one; it is reasonably priced vintage bubbly

2004 Abadia de Poblet Conca de Barberà Pinot Noir
2005 Los Masies de Poblet Conca de Barberà Pinot Noir

Talk about timing. Took a side detour, ended up at a monastary. They grow pinot noir?
