02 Harris was better than the 02 Blankiet when side by side. Big group all agreed.

Good to hear the Treva's showed well. Blankiet cab I assume? I like the '02 Blankiet Merlot quite a bit.

Based on all of the recent notes that I've seen on the Blankiet that may be damning with faint praise.

Actually, I thought the '02 merlot was excellent, one of the best CA merlots I've had in years, really, really good:

$105, Mailing List (includes all charges).

This is going to add to the controversy of this wine. Decanted & tasted over 4 hours. So, I gave it a good shot & plenty of time. A real fine bottle of wine, did not taste any of the problems noted above. Then again, it did not make the impression that the 1st 2 bottles that I tasted in the past.

A fine bottle of wine that we enjoyed very much though the QPR of this wine this time around is something to question. It is still a youngster & needs more time... Plenty of fruit & tannins to go around & a long, fine, pleasant finish. Though, I was looking for the bottle to illustrate or flaunt a little more. But, it never did.

Rating: 92+ & hold. Perhaps it will reach 93 points but I don't see much more than that @ least with the bottle I had this weekend.

P.S.: This is a Parker 94 pointer.

Interesting, just about the same exact TNs as the post above about 2 years ago. Really, I don't have much more to + then stated above. Tonight again in the 92-93 range. I fine bottle of wine. Is it a $100+ bottle of wine? - Well, no it is not. Enjoyed it tonight with home made pizza. No rush but with some air time, not a crime either. Decanted/Tasted over 2-3 hours.
