| Offered 2/5/5/0 and ordered. I've never bought the syrahs in the past, so it's OK with me. | | | TN posted on Cellartracker"

| I'm surprised. I got the 54 bottle allocation last Fall. Got the same allocation as Dave.
I guess only ordering 50 of the 54 got me moved to the seconf tier.... dammit.

Could that be all it really was?? If so...wow....guess I better order all 51 this time around!

| 2/5/5/3 allocation for me. I'm all in for the Pinot, and still deciding on the rose and syrah.
How do these wines compare to previous years?

| Funny, I am a LOD and max out every time including all 54 last Fall and seem to be offered (albeit maybe only a bottle) than some others. This could be as confusing as Aubert's allocation system. | | | |

I asked the cashier where they got it. He said Kosta Browne came down to some wine event sponsered by the Wine Club and that they were able to get a selection of bottles from the winery directly.
All things considered, it's not a bad deal. I paid $150 for it. Looking at the wine auctions on line it appears to go for $200+ on most sites. ('05 4-Barrel).
Hey guys:
I feel like a freshman walking into my first frat party. My first post! I do need to chime in here, however. I would be a little suspect on this one. We ONLY offer this wine to our List of Designate members. Further, to the best of my knowledge, we have never offered any wine to the Wine Club, let alone 4BB. Nothing against Wine Club, but this just doesn't sound right. Very simply put, this wine would HAVE had to have come from a List of Designates member. I may be making too big of a thing here (i.e. maybe the cashier was at the end of a Telephone game), but I would like to hear the full story. Sidebar: thanks for everyone's support. As my 2 year old would say "ttfn!"

By the way, allocations for the spring release are based on your spring purchase from last year. The fall release (single vineyards) is an independent release, based on purchases from last year's fall release. The two are separate Also, in the fall, we release quite a few more wines, bringing your total up a bit more. Once again, thanks for the support. I'll be around this week to answer any more questions. Cheers!

| Thanks for the clarification(s) Dan. Do visit often. You've got some hard corp supporters here. ...allocations for the spring release are based on your spring purchase from last year.
Seems fair. Especially considering that the purchase history of one varietal does not affect the other varietals. | | | Beta testing a new signature.

| For the first time I did not take all of the wines in my allocation. These will be very good wines but our cellar is very full of KBs and Cali Pinot. We aren't into Cali Syrahs these days. Hopefully someone else will enjoy them.
The pricing is on the edge of the envelope for appellation wines. $48pb + tax + shipping = high $50s in the door.

| Good point, Winetex. The Sonoma Coast was $32 a mere 2 vintages ago. | | | |

| I received the 2/12/12/6 allocation. I'm passing all of it along to my local wine groups at my cost. I'm keeping none for myself. | | | Joe-----Wine is like potato chips around me...if it's open, it's gone. | |

I'm planning on passing along at my cost all of my allocation to the local wine group. I don't need any more KB in my cellar at the moment.
Joe, trying to make some sort of point?
