| Production has stayed the same, but as they move to estate wines and phase out wines like Pinot, they have much more Syrah and Grenache to go around. Rather than turn their existing list members into distributors (at least more than is already the case), they opened up the list fairly dramatically. No immediate help for me unfortunately. | | | |

| Made it myself finally. Seems lots of people have. Sounds like a topic for a new thread... | | | Joe-----Wine is like potato chips around me...if it's open, it's gone. | |

| Eric, exactly. Now, was that a clever marketing move? Are the new vineyards that much better we'll be getting great juice as compared to those that have been on the list for a while? I love these wines but am I buying what I've tasted (other bottlings) in the past for $115 per bottle entry fee? Just being my usual self.   | | | Joe-----Wine is like potato chips around me...if it's open, it's gone. | |

| Actually, overall production did NOT go up, but production of their estate syrah and grenache increased significantly. Dave's comments above are correct.
Yes, I made it as well, and I could not stop smiling yesterday. Will be sending in my order today!!!

| I made it as well after a +/- 5 year wait. 3 bottles of each was my allocation. With my luck, the quality will go only downhill from here! | | | |

Actually I thought production had increased. I could swear I read it somewhere (the pre-release survey from SQN?) that mentioned that production went up modestly with the new vineyards coming online, and as a result they were going to be able to add more people to the list. Eric, I checked the last mailer. When their new Eleven Cpnfessions vineyard comes to full maturity, the total production will increase by 10-15%. I don't know if there has been an actual increase yet (vines are still not fully mature), but that could well be the case. What has happened for sure is that production of Syrah and Greneche has increased a lot and production of Pinot has been eliminated and production of whites has been sharply curtailed. Rather than just funnel more Syrah to the current list, they spread it out to the masses! Turnover on this list is small, however. I am not sure that those of us on the waiting list should assume that our turn will be coming up soon. I am a 2 1/2 year waitlister. I wouldn't be surprised if I don't have another 4-7 years to go. The Papa and the Into the Dark both contain Estate fruit. So if you like that, that bodes well.

| Yes, but you got on because of a one-time only event (switch to Estate fruit) that allowed them to expand the list substantially without cutting the allocations of existing members. That did clear out a number of people ahead of me, but from here on in I will have to wait for people to drop off or die. Absent a huge price increase, I don't see much turnover on that list. | | | |

| Could be price increases, could be a severe downturn in the economy, could be they buy more land. Any of those will improve your odds of getting on the list. I wouldn't be surprised if a number of long-time mail listers drop off, as they were using it for flipping. I was purchasins the wines for 100% over mailing list price from one person; I don't know if he will stay on the list anymore. | | | |

| It'll be interesting to see how this will affect pricing on the secondary market. I expect a bunch of SQN showing up on winecommune shortly after delivery, probably at more reasonable prices. | | | |
