Starting a different thread as this is a bit more general. For decanting young wines ( Before I get yelled at, I already read Dr. T's missives on the topic. I still feel it helps certain wines like young Rhones ), I read a lot of you talking about splash decanting. What do you mean by this?

My thoughts will reading that link to the old thread on splash decanting was "where are some of these people now?". Haven't seen some of those posters for a while myself such as bman and J_O.
