| 2005 Schild Estate GMS Unscrewed and poured. Purple/garnet hue. Grapey aromas with some notes of pepper & roasted meats, almost like a 2003 or other ripe vintage Côtes du Rhône. Medium bodied. All-in-all, much more Australian on the palate, with ripe red and black fruits dominating through the finish. Spicier notes developed later after some time in the bottle. Good food wine. Not as complex as Schild's excellent Shiraz. Vine 87 | | | |
