| | Just opened a Niepoort Late Bottle Vintage 1997 port ($17.99 retail). R. port glass, decanted 35 minutes (sorry, couldnt wait any longer!) Classy, deep jammy nose. First taste fills the mouth with rich, dark, jammy fruit, barely picking up the 20% alcohol. I'm surprised at the elegance and finesse at this price point. Turns soft and supple in the mouth with a finish of atleast 20-25 seconds. I thoroughly enjoy this port and will end here, because I'm heading back for more and I'm sure my typing will get impaired! I give it 91+ points. | | | |

i happen to love niepoort, and in addition to my stash of 97 VP, we like to have the 95 LBV as a daily port drinker. have you had the 95 and can you compare to the 97? | | | |
