| A hostage wine on this fall's "B" mailer, but...
Probably the best Martinelli Chardonnay I've tried. This has creamy hazelnut and macadamia on the nose with poached pear and, on the palate just a hint of citrus. Rich and complex with oak spice, but not overdone, and a long, creamy, but not buttery, finish. I don't think this is going to get much better with age but it sould last a few years. 92ish

| | We had this wine tonight with shrimp scampi. It had a moderate nose of oak and tropical fruit. On the palate, the wine is huge with just enough acidity to prvent the wine from being too fat. The flavor of ripe pears adds to an ideal balance. Outstanding and may improve a little with some time in the bottle. 93 | | | |

| Had an off bottle last night, not corked, just off. Still rated it a 90. Won't bother with a TN because I've had 4 good bottles, just letting people know there is some bottle variation here.

| | DW is me. TJ and I split a case of the Martinelli. I delivered it, along with some other stuff he piggy backed on my allocations with, yesterday. | | | |

| | I agree with posters above, a great chard indeed that is ready to be drank. One can hold it, but why? I agree with the 92-93 point range as mentioned above. | | | |
