Okay, today I'm at a restaurant that I frequent.  And where, when I bring wine, I share it.  I was almost the only diner in the room (except a table of red-hatters).  I had a couple of glasses of pinot.

The somm , with one of the local distributors who sat down next to me, began sampling wines.  I suppose they were deciding what will be on the wine list next week or month.

NEVER ONCE offered me a taste or even a glimpse of the labels. 

I felt very dissed.

Maybe I'm overly sensitive....

 

They were also sampling other wines from the list; perhaps had a limited supply.  I guess I would have felt less excluded had they moved off somewhere more private.  However, this guy has alway had an attitude and has never been very gracious, even when I shared wine that is not readily available up here ( Bressler, Match, Neal - maybe he just didn't like them...?)
Luckily, I rarely deal with the somm and have always had a good rapport with the other wait-staff.

 

But yes, I will admit to (at times) being an overly-sensitive type....
