Very dark, saturated purple color, the nose shows all the exuberance and full fruit of youth, this wine seamingly hasn't moved in the years its been in the cellar. The nose presents rich blueberries, vanilla, cream, violets, and just a hint an earthy undertone. Full and rich on the palate, with tongue coating fine tannins, an not a hint of the 15.9% alcohol. This is a full-throttle Syrah, but with great balance, finishing long and fine. As far as aging - who knows? I suppose the tannins could still soften a bit, but it's a delight to drink now - though I think it will last for many years to come.
