Man that sounds good!  How did you cook them?

2 ways:
Steamed in Bay Seasoning (these suckers are so sweet they don't need anything)
and Shrimp Curry

Day 1 in West Yellowstone
Dinner at the Timberline Cafe: a bowl of mediocre chili

Day 2 in Yellowstone/back at the cabin
Lunch at Old Faithful lodge: the grossiest barbeque pork sandwich, peas, and potato wedges
Dinner back at the cabin made by me: grilled ribeyes, macaroni and cheese, twice baked potato Big Grin

Day 3 in Yellowstone/West Yellowstone
Lunch at Mammoth Springs dining room: wings (can't screw that up) and an overcooked burger
Dinner at Wild West Pizzeria (West Yellowstone): fresh side salad and great supreme pizza

Day 4 in Yellowstone/Jackson Hole
Lunch at Grant Village: an unedible chef's salad...no amount of dressing could make this salad edible
Dinner at Teton Steakhouse in Jackson Hole: I thought this would be like a Hitching Post experience, which it was not. Potato soup, Teton sirloin steak, baked potato. The steak wasn't worth the masseter muscle actions.

Day 5 at the Grand Tetons and Salt Lake City
Breakfast at the Pioneer Grill at Jackson Lake Lodge: tasty Southwestern burrito with home fries (one of the best meals of the trip)
Lunch at some dive place called Bear Lake Drive Inn: burger and onion rings
Dinner at the hotel restaurant in Salt Lake City: fish and chips

I miss my kitchen and ready for some homeade food

Just got back from a trip to Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon...

Day 1
Lunch: In-and-Out Double Double Animal Style with French fries (a need that needed to be met for a long time)
Dinner: Fettucine alfredo

Day 2
Dinner: Orange Chicken with Rice and broccoli

Day 3
Lunch at the Arizona Room/Bright Angel lodge after a long hike on the South Kaibab trail: Smoked corn chowder (ok)
Shaved prime rib dip with fries...the sandwich itself tasted like an old philly cheesesteak minus the bell peppers and the fries tasted homeade...24 hours ago
Dinner: Wagon ride and campfire hotdogs and smores (life is good)

Day 4
Lunch: In-and-Out cheeseburger animal style and fries (couldn't handle a double double at the time)
Dinner at Tao in the Venetian: Crispy Lobster and Shrimp Dumplings with Ginger Jiang Kong Sauce (these were good)
Peking Duck Spring Roll with Hoisin Sauce (these were ok, in addition to the hoisin sauce, they had some other yellow mustard sauce that was ten times stronger than wasabi)
Wasabi Crusted Filet Mignon with Tempura of Onion Rings (the beef was good, nothing special)
Buddha’s Harmonized Vegetable Feast for the Minor Gods (this was the impressive dish of the night, you could taste the ginger and the lemongrass). I almost wished I would have kept my reservation at Bouchon instead of going here. Food was well executed and over priced but everyone comes for the atmosphere, right?

Day 5
Lunch: Le Village Buffet at the Paris hotel...another disappointment. This was suppose to be one of the better Vegas buffets. I wasn't expecting greatness but I thought maybe the food quality would be edible. They had dishes like ratatouille, beef bourgignon, seafood choppino, coq au vin but nothing was even "ok" status. If it wasn't 103 degrees outside, I would have eaten at Mon Ami Gabi. Or maybe I should have tried to find Lotus of Siam...

Hobo burgers?

I'm not a big burger fan, so the wife had to go over the top tonight. Turkey and pork meat (not a combo I would have picked), with bread crumbs, red onions and goat cheese, topped with cave-aged gouda, cooked on the grill. I topped it (ok, both burgers) with Maille Fins Gourmet (best mustard EVER) and washed it down with several Red Hook Longhammer IPA's. Life could be worse.
