2006 Peay Syrah P2

Brillant ruby purple medium nose of damp earth, meaty tones, blackberry, boysenberry, violets.  Medium body, high complexity, medium plus acidity, medium tannin and long length. Violets, boysenberry, and blackberry with meaty earth tones. 92-93pts


2006 Peay Syrah 470

Bright purple, moderate floral nose with blackberry, leather. Medium body, high complexity, medium acidity, medium plus tannin, long length. Floral with light earth, pure black cherry and blackberry. 90-92pts


2006 Peay Syrah Clone 1

Bright purple, medium nose of flowers, blackberry, currants and blueberry. Medium body, high complexity, medium plus acidity, medium plus tannin, long length. Sexy, meaty, leather and bright fruits. 92-93pts. 


2006 Peay Syrah Astralia (wasn’t sure how to spell this one nor which cuvee it was in)

Chapoutier Hermitage clone, ruby, brillant purple, medium nose of leather, pepper, light olive, florals, boysenberry and blackberry, juicy. Medium body, high complexity, medium acidity and tannin, long length. Juicy!!! with a matching palate. 91-92pts.


The great thing about these wines are the textural components. I am not good about putting that into words, but these were greatly textured, with very integrated oak usage and tannin management.
